Thank you my friend. Very kind of you. That's one of the many perks of being retired. You have plenty of time on your hands to do all the things you love doing. Take care and have a great Christmas with your loved ones

The gorgeous lines; the crisp, clean woodworking; the rich, warm, golden patina; the overall aesthetic, the endlessly fascinating detail; the fit and finish... and what model of any ship 200 or so years on can be said to be 100% accurate? That point is moot. Take the win. I can't think of a prettier model. Congratulations!

The last few photos just to close off this HMS Alert project. The workshop is now clear and tidied ready for the next build, CAF Model's 1:48 scale PoF HMS GRANADO, which l plan to start (if l can actually wait that long) in a couple of weeks. Hi Keith. You’ve built another very nice model. I now know that these POF models are not the easiest things to build and take commitment to see them through to completion, so congratulations on your Alert. A good log and some nice pictures. I wish you a happy new year and success with your upcoming Granado. Ken.
