1682 HMY FUBBS - 1:24 - Stern Section [COMPLETED BUILD]

To start my mindset on Fubbs, I have done something small for my Fubbs. But before, I will post a picture of the cash registers I did a partial restoration (full will be like if they have just left the factory).
Those are truly incredible pieces of art and mechanization! I can see why you collect them!

After a few hours "cleaning" this carving of small debris left by the Milling process I started to paint it. The model calls for a blue background and gold carvings. My hull is pear wood, I will not paint it blue. This carving goes in the back, so I used a brown that is a little bit darker than pear wood. To paint that section took me an hour and still have details that needs correction. It was a fight against my trembling hands. This happens when I try to do work, that needs steady hands. Ahhhh Aging. So far I am winning the battle. Not a Picasso but not bad either HAHAHA.

That carving is built from 4 milled pieces.

To assemble those 4 pieces took me 3 hours of sanding and testing. Here is the outcome of one. Still, some milling details need to be cleaned.
