Sorry about the delayed progress report. I've been focused on preparing the yards and the final fitting of the jib sheets and the jib running rigging.

Next step will be sorting the foremast sheets.

Once I figure out what works (and what doesn't) I'll extend that knowledge-set to the main and aft masts.

Not much progress to report.

Forward mast is largely complete save some scale details.

Main is mechanically complete. I'll string the stays over the next few days.

Starting to think about lacing the sheets to the yards. I may try using dental-floss to lace the sheets given its waterproof qualities and ease to work with.

Stay tuned....

I've been experimenting with using dental-floss to lace the sails with little success. I find the floss too slippery and ungainly to work with.

I settled on .8mm waxed polyester thread most commonly used for leather work. It's much easier to work with, knots can be sealed with CA adhesive and has waterproof qualities.

Update....

Two masts completed. Sheets laced.

Only the mizzenmast remains... estimate 4-6 weeks to compete that task, after which the ship should be ready for its next sea trial....on sails.

Incredibile in quanto poco tempo sei riuscito a fare tutto questo.

It's amazing how little time you managed to do all this.

I blame my OCD for that!

Once I start a new project, I can’t seem to stop working on it until it’s complete….much to the detriment of everything else around me.

A little update. All the masts are now complete. Plus, one more day to complete the shrouds.

I should have the Mizenmast sails all laced up by the end of the week.

Now I have a dilemma.

Ideally it would have been best to have the forward mast sails controlled independently from the Main and Mizen. However, my radio transmitter lacked sufficient proportional channels to allow me that level of detail.

As luck would have it, I found a ‘New-Old-Stock’ Spektrum DX10t radio transmitter that includes Qty:4 auxiliary proportional channels, in addition to the on-off and gimble channels. This particular radio was designed for the European market, so it’s rare to find one in North America.

In short, I can now add an additional sail-winch servo dedicated to the forward mast sails.

I’ve surveyed the hull and have a perfect spot for the new servo.

This modification will add 2-weeks to the build, but should result in a superior handling ship.
