Charles Morgan Bark 1:64 POB - By Bill-R

Hello everyone,

Thanks for the comments and likes.

This is my third ship made from basswood mainly. I have found that it is very difficult to make basswood look good from close up. Fortunately, most of the Morgan is painted. The deck planking is natural, but it will be mostly be covered by furniture and equipment.

Hello everyone,

I have gotten the filler blocks for the bow and stern installed and shaped. The transom frames are in and at the correct angle. The outer transom frames lean back to match the transom and they also lean in to match the angle of the hull. I have also gotten the waterways installed. It's not real clear as to the instillation of the waterways and the planksheer. I was looking at some other builds and saw some builders installed the waterways first and then the planksheer, while others did it just the opposite. It doesn't show it on the plans, but the the waterways are faired at about a 45deg to just above the height of the deck planks.
