Corsair H.M.S. Enterprize Build Log

I'm a bit frustrated ! So, I've been away from my build for a bit. Still a bit sick and just haven't felt much like working on it. Well, today I felt a bit better and thought I would go out and do a little work on my model. Started working on the next of the inner planks and then decided that I would get out the parts for the counter timbers. So, I'm looking through the box of sheets of parts and lo and behold, I come across sheet G1. On it I see another set of transom timbers. I did the transom pieces quite some time ago and according to the plans (see below) they are parts F1-5 and F1-6 for the transom wing and parts F2-5, F2-6, F2-14 and F2-15 for the other transom timbers

The new ones that I found are G1-12, G1-13, G1-15 and G1-16. I figured out that the transom timbers should actually be the 2 pieces sandwiched together before they are installed, making them thicker. Of course, with the way they are trapped between the stern post and the aft most cant frame, there is no way to "slide them into place. I'm NOT going to start removing all the transom timbers and the aft cant frames to add these parts in where they are supposed to be.

I might be able to slip them in if I cut them in half (port and starboard) I will let you all know how it goes.

It really is a shame that a kit of this complexity, quality and cost should have these kinds of issues.
So, if you are considering this kit, be aware of this issue.
