Hi, sorry the hole for the pulley must be longitudinal to the keel otherwise it is not possible to move the pen to the other side.A few more adjustments and she’ll stand up straight!

You are so right, Frank! I’m not quite finished with that part yet. I’m still experimenting with a few things because I’ve never done one of these boats before. This is just me roughing it out. Thanks for the input.Hi, sorry the hole for the pulley must be longitudinal to the keel otherwise it is not possible to move the pen to the other side.

I actually built an immovable pulley inside the slot. Two holes all the way through the mast 5mm apart. I set a groove between the two holes and made the part between the two holes rounded like a pulley. You just can't see the pseudo pulley because the rope is in the way. I also put a pin in the side of the mast to hold the pseudo pulley in place. Thanks for coming aboard, Frank! You challenge me to grow.Good morning Vfordyce, OK but the pulley is missing, Frank
Good evening Vic. This is turning into a really good little boat. Looking awesome. Pretty realistic. Cheers GrantShrouds added. View attachment 336756View attachment 336759
Thanks, Grant. I feel like I'm making it up as I go along, though. Not much useful information out there on lateen sails that I could find..Good evening Vic. This is turning into a really good little boat. Looking awesome. Pretty realistic. Cheers Grant

A basket with some loaves and fish?Almost done! A couple of rope spools, a basket to weave, and a stand. View attachment 336831View attachment 336832
Thanks, Heinrich! There was a lot more bashing than I anticipated. But it’s good experience.Very nice build Vic. I think this is one of the more interesting (and challenging) builds out there.
Just fish, Paul. The loaves would get waterlogged on the boat. No plastic wrap back then.A basket with some loaves and fish?
