Good morning Vic. You are getting there! The lay of the strakes are good and I think with some sanding this is going to come out beautifully. WOW how is that bend and twist on that plank! I can see why this is a difficult hull to plank . Cheers GrantIt’s starting to fill in…one strake at a time. I’ll need to do some heavy planing and sanding, though. View attachment 330901
I actually twisted it a little too much, Grant. Six more strakes and I'm done planking the hull!Good morning Vic. You are getting there! Except I’m from the South!
My Yankee admiral says, “Perfect!”My bad Vic, I didn’t see any duct tape.
A challenge well met... Truly looks amazing Vic.This is definitely harder working with a strongback. First, I don’t have a second planking to cover mistakes. I also can’t putty to smooth things out because I’m not painting the hull. It’s been a challenge.
It is ... your memory serves you well ! !Thanks for the encouragement! I thought I saw in an earlier post that your name is David? Or did I remember incorrectly. Happens more and more at my age.
Good evening Vic. If it’s not a challenge the satisfaction is not quite the same- certainly looks like you have pulled it off and it looks like it is going to finish off great.
