Hi

No answers to my question about East indiaman ships.
Maybe this isnt the right place, perhaps someone has a link to a german or english forum?
I found out that Corel makes a kit for Prins Willem in 1:100, but no one here or on Modelshipworld has done a buildlog on her.

Thank you, its really small. I think 1/87 is small now and build more in 1:45 (model railroad).
Maybe it would be easier to build a scratch model in 1/50?
I´m talking about my Billing boats model of Götheborg, it came in a big box but it wasnt much in it.
I think I shall take a few pictures of the material in the box and get some help.
If most of it is crap, maybe better to go for a scrach model.

we have here some information about the Prins Willem, please take a look at this reserach summary

and here you can find a building log of the Corel model by our memebr @JDS73

and the unboxing of the kit

here is a scratch model building log by @Steef66

and one by @André de R.

Thanks Uwe, yes my ship is scratch build based on the drawings of Corel. But then in scale 1,75.
Making it in scale 1,50? You will get a big ship. Mine is already big almost a meter high, 1 meter in length and 30 cm in width.
The reason why you almost can't find a buildlog (completed) of the Corel is because it is a difficult build. Lots of builders don't finished the build because of that reason. There is a lot to find about this ship, even the original plans of the museum model from the same era. The book of Herman Ketting and even here on this forum you can find a member who worked with Herman Ketting. (Ab Hoving). I have scans of the plans and can send them to you on email if you wish.
