This is the brand. Watco. And no I'll put a satin polyurethane on after this but that wont be until I finish all the rubbing strakes. And yes I did use a rag.Man! That looks nice! Is there a brand of Danish oil you like? Do you shelac after this? Doesn't seem to need it. And looks like you use a rag not a brush?
Yes it is. Both the medium walnut and dark walnutLooks WONDERFUL! That wood is popping! I also use Danish oil when I can. Great stuff.
Anytime.Thanks!
Thank youGood progress, Gibby!
Nah no mountain dew for me lol. Right now I'm just over 55hrs into it so far. I keep a log of all my builds and times in a notebook.WOW. How much Mountain Dew does it take to make a build go so FAST ?!
I have two sets of these. After a while my fingers get sore using them. I'm thinking of building a handle for them, sandwiching the steel between two pieces of wood so I have something better to hold onto.Got some of the rubbing strakes on. Changed some of the front at the bow. It had a pre cut piece I scraped that and used some African walnut to make the curve. Also got a chance to finally use the shape scrapers I got from AL awhile back. I used the middle one to put a slight rounded edged on it.

That makes really good sense to build some type of handle.I have two sets of these. After a while my fingers get sore using them. I'm thinking of building a handle for them, sandwiching the steel between two pieces of wood so I have something better to hold onto.
