H.M.S. PEGASUS - Swan Class by David Antscherl & Greg Herbert Scale 1:36

I started to set the figurehead. I looked for an image that would fit and among many, I chose this one, to be adapted in the back to fit into the spur. The challenge is very difficult, I don't know what will come out of it, I hope to achieve something acceptable

The chosen figurehead is beautiful. I fully understand why you chose this. It is a huge challenge to transfer that to a block of wood. Much success. We eagerly await the result, preferably with intermediate steps.
 
You are absolutely right! I looked everywhere except where I should have looked! Thanks for this image I didn't have! Caught up in the frenzy of looking for something beautiful, I completely forgot that this is a small unit and that its decorations needed to be more understated!
Besides being more suitable, this figurehead is definitely easier to make!!!

Dear Giampy65! If you are interested, the taffrail shows: on the left - Perseus with the severed head of Medusa Gorgon, on the right - the body of the unfortunate Medusa Gorgon, in the center - Pegasus jumping out of the blood pouring from Medusa's head. Under the front hooves of Pegasus are Mount Helicon. Pegasus kicked out the water fountain of Hippocrene with his hooves. On the edges of the taffrail are shown the masks of Tragedy and Comedy, because Pegasus was the patron of the theatre.
During the period in question, the figurehead and the taffrail decoration were painted in different colors; I think the description of the legend will help you with the color scheme.
 
After a break, I started to prepare and set up the figurehead; everything is still provisional, I don't like it very much, I had to remove some details to make room for the bowsprit, but I'm going ahead and I hope it will be more presentable.
