The newly stained part is markedly lighter than the rest of the ship, but I am sure that the second coat which will I apply tomorrow, will even everything out. The combination of the CLOU and the Oak just works!Such beautiful colors are flying out of these pictures WOW
Looks beautiful Heinrich,Thank you so much my friend and for all the support. And what the heck - who am I fooling? There is no sanding required so let's do one coat of CLOU!

Thank you for the very kind words, my friend - that is very high praise indeed. There are a few places that I need to touch up with some more sanding and shaping, but at least I know that the configuration works and, most importantly, based on the information that I have, is historically accurate.WOW, that Clou stain brings out such a beautiful color in the oak. This version has all the earmarks of a masterpiece Heinrich.
Thank you very much Stephen. I am glad that I am over the worst as far as this part of the build goes - now that front canopy looms!Looks beautiful Heinrich,
Cheers,
Stephen.

Tomorrow, I will do the final sanding - please excuse the sanding dust in all grooves - and then the CLOU can do its thing.
Thank you, Richie. I also think the walnut and oak complement each other nicely!Looks beautiful with all the different wood types used, great work.
The little ship is looking good, Heinrich. The difference that natural light makes to the color of the wood is significant.
