Today I took some time off from planking because I'm trying to establish a good method for making the special nail heads with the disk. Today I focused on the preparations required to create the gunwale. The parts required for this are in plate 22 and their number is fl78-83 as detailed in the construction booklet.

I cleaned the sawdust in the milling areas on the board, cut and sanded. It is worth noting that the milling machine/cnc did not cut everything and there are openings that we had to open ourselves, also in the brochure there were two misprints of pair B and A.
Tomorrow I will continue with final sanding and start installing the gunwale

Hello dear friends
It's already 01:00 am at my place, after the family dinner during which we celebrated birthday for my father, I sat down to work on the ship.
Today I focused on the creation of the gun window sill in the bow of the ship.
First I had to correct a mistake I made in cutting the frames, I cut them too short. So what I did was to cut it down to the height of the deck and glue a new part that would give the midrash height. then I adjusted and installed the window sill.

After I was satisfied with the result, I proceeded to take care of the parts that make up the gunwale. Working on the subject requires a lot of patience , because most openings require quite a bit of sanding and adjustments to the size and angle of the frames. For now I have dry installed parts fl 77-78, more to come. good night dear friends :)

You've gotten yourself quite the challenge, dear Shota, but apparently one you're able to master. Thumbsup
 
I can well image that those cap railings must have been quite a challenge - especially seeing that the holes are not all opened. The dry-fit though, looks excellent. You can get out the glue my friend! :)

good evening dear friends
today I finished fitting and gluing the gunwale parts on the first side. Before doing the adhesive, I made/engraved a nice cant along the entire length of the gunwale.
After the glue dried I did some fine final sanding and then applied a layer of oil which gave the gunwale a deeper and more beautiful color in my eyes. Now I'm in the middle of working on the other side
