HMS Fly (Amati) 1:64 Robertd [COMPLETED BUILD]

Lovely work Robert and you look very serious in the magnifiers. I found them impossible to use during the rigging as I lost depth of field...

Hmm. Hot days and grenache? How about a nice Sauvignon Blanc or Chardonnay? Surely there are some nice Chenin Blancs out of western Australia or a South Africa import?
Thanks for the compliment , Sav Blanc also appreciated , actually I tasted some great wine ex Sonoma Valley

Superb work Robert. Your Fly is looking a masterpiece and nice to see you hands-on as well :)

You already have the Batavia lined up? Your ship-building pace is most impressive!

Batavia not yet Mark , once the Fly is finished , my problem is it arrives too soon I tend to ignore the finishing line LOL of the Fly , also I just take it easy , ordered more cleats to tidy up

A bit cooler today to do some work , goggles is a must ! still a lot of tidy up to do , ropes everywhere , just added the fore Yard Brace today before I call it quits and enjoy a glass of my favourite grenache !

Good morning Robert. Cool pic of the shipbuilder at work. You must be nearly done and what a beautiful Fly you built. Awesome. Cheers Grant

That’s it for now I am afraid , a few minor adjustments to finalise the model but that has to wait for the time being , thank all of you taking the time to look at my work much appreciated , Rob

Brilliant work Robert, although I'll never forget how I was left for dead with my HMS Fly, me still fiddling with cannon rigging while yours is already in a showcase! I'll miss seeing your Fly on the balcony with the Pittwater backdrop. Looking forward to you next endeavour for sure Thumbsup
