HMS GRANADO 1:48 scale PoF CAF Model by Keith

Thank you very much Uwe. There is a gap between every one of the lodging knees and hanging knees (l don´t know why this should be) but l have done exactly as you have suggested and filled them with sanding dust and glue
Especially these gaps - there was no gap, because the forces had to be taken over by the beams

More gun deck and quarter deck cabin beams done. In fact nearly complete now, just a few at the bow to finish off. l will have to start thinking about how much (or how little) to cover over with deck planking at this point. But first l must give the new woodwork the Clou treatment.

SHE'S OUT . . . and these are first time pictures of the full hull. Firstly the underside, below the water line. This is how it came out, with no work at all done and l'm very pleased with the result. lt does pay to be as accurate as possible with the fairing of the ribs at the fixing stage as it will cut down on the amount of sanding needed now at this stage

The next stage of the operation according to the instruction manual, is the planking of the transom both inside the hull and out, leaving the two ports open at the stern. l have utilized an old building slip that l have built a few ships with in the past, to hold the hull steady and secure while l complete the next tasks up to the installation of the rudder which will be a few months in the future. Once this stage is complete l can concentrate on the final sanding of the outer hull

Hi all. The transom planking is now done and the outside hull has been given the Clou treatment which has brought out the colour nicely l think. Next step will be the stern Gallery windows, which will give those transom timbers a bit more support l hope
