Good luck!!
2 mm is the thicknessThat’s some rather thick second planking Zoltan. Or is it just hard to tell from the picture and angle.
Helloguys,it was time for an update, second layer of planking begun, first is the garboard plank

Hi all, I st very SAD to me, to see these images so late in the Build. Keel, Falkse Keel, Bow PART, and Stern part, is the first to be built. Then making the Cardboard -for those who are not sure what that's means -ie us depending on scale -but normally in 1:70, with the false keel about 4mm thick, the keel, bow and stern part 6 mm. when these are glued together a 2x2mm cut is made around the edge of the false keel. know the bulkheads can be inserted. now the 3 GOLDEN RULE of planking. The1Th Pank to be inserted about 2mm- below the Main Deck. The 2Nd between the Keek and Buckhead at the bottom. The 3Th one - full length -is a helping Planck, which will or may change place. It is to help the measurement and maintain bulkheads square, Nor the real planking starts 4 from the top downwards and 4 from the bottom upwards. as it is too much to explain here, as some measurements will have to be don to shape each plank. There is nearly two planks alikeHelloguys,it was time for an update, second layer of planking begun, first is the garboard plank

Thanks Stephen!Looking good Zoly,
There is quite a bit of twist in that plank did you steam it before fitting?
I guess you are doing both sides at once?
Cheers,
Stephen.

The idea is ingenious in its simplicityi
Hil to you all, now it is ti,e to look into 2021 if it will be somewhat better. oo
As i lately have following some build- including yours-where the seem to confusion about the Keel, te so-called false Keel. bow and Stern Part +plus the garboard will attach images, which I find good. the last may have an interest to many of you- It Is a DRY BENDING Methode- AND ITS WORK. i GOT THOS From a German Fring of my -AXEL kulich. It is simply an empty tin- fasten well. as it gets extremely hot, when the candlelight inserted have had time to heat up. on image two a plank bend without extra help.
happy new year to all of you. El CAPI
P.S. I have an idea to make some small articles her I do not know where to Add them. One theme is about our Raw material The Wood-how it is built up-the raw materials- and how different bending methods are better others

Great method. You could soak your planks as well if you wanted to.i

Only a few minutes, yo make steam. With to a long time the plank soak water, although the high temperature will dry it out.Great method. You could soak your planks as well if you wanted to.
Thanks !I am using cherry wood.Looking really good. What kind of wood are you using for the second layer? Swiss pear?
