Hi all
It's been a while but this is where we are at.
I have just continued on with the deck fittings. I have also done the forward capping rails.On the bow rail I put the bottom on first as the curve on the hull then built it up from there ,it turned out good.
Just starting the back ladder, rope handrails with stantions and the gratings .
As you will see in the photo the ladder is supposed to be at the back,but this is not going to happen as there is a beam.
I will just move it forward one bay .cheers snowy

Hi all just a small update
Had a week off for covid in darwin so got a few jobs done .
One tricky little one was when doing the front of the ship ,saw on another plan. The hawse covers on the picture plan all good.
But on plan tavola 3 it shows part 148 which is a half cover for the anchors.any ways finished one side of thefront cheers snowy

Gday all
I think now would be a good time to change my thread to the hms bellerphophon.(or billy ruffian)
It's been a busy time .i finished off the front of the ship and she all lined up. I have now started on the aft of the ship i added a couple of timbers to square off the back Windows. And spent a couple of days on the rear decorations.cheers snowy.

Hi all
We just had another 3 day lockdown in darwin.
1 good thing is it gave me time to get into the ship .I have half done one of the boats plus I started on the stern . This part I have found very time consuming but satisfying. I am also adding an extra 1.5 mm on the stern to fit the decoration on the bottom of the back facia.all good stay safe all.

Well it's been about a month now since my last visit here.
But that is how long it took me to finish off the back and sides of the ship .now it's time to put on the name.,or I might finish off the deck and then the poop deck
Ps : has anyone noticed on the box of the kit it's missing a decoration behind the windows but it is on the plans.

Hello Snowy. I have gone through your log with interest as I am in process of building the Victory and the two ships are so similar in most respects. Firstly great work. The Amati kit looks good and your Stern is awesome. Your cannon rigging is done really well and looks awesome and realistic on your Vanguard. I will stay in touch with your continuing build.
