HMS Victory by Y.T.- Mamoli - 1:90 scale

Hi Jimsky. For some reason I didn’t get email notifications for all the replies for themes I watch. Could you please look into this from a moderator standpoint?

And mesh material is nylon Tulle.
I checked your account - from our side everything is correct, so you should get notifications from all "bookmarked" topics.

Hi Uwek, unfortunately I do not get an email per each reply in watched topics. For example I never got email notifications for the latest posts in this topic. This includes Jimsky's post about mesh material I use. This did not just happened now. It always was like this. I think something is not set correctly.

Hi,

It will be a long process, but why not sewing it like a bolt rope in sail ?
I prefer gluing versus tying of the knots. This is faster. Knots take for ever. I think that with the scale I work with, it quite allows gluing instead of knotting. Besides, gluing the strings is also not my thing. I prefer working with wood and metal. This is why the further progress of this build is questionable and I rather start a new ship instead of progressing with masts and sails.

YT, I do not think it would detract from your model should you choose not to fully rig her.If you choose this option possibly short stub masts and bowsprit?

I am a bit like you, the attraction is in the hull, not so much the "sticks and strings".

Kind Regards

Nigel
Thanks Nigel. I often am thinking of short stub masts as a finishing touch.

Fitting port openings along the plank glued on top of strake plank.

i would not have used thes gun ports on the top layer - on my panart victory i put them on the first layer (Much thinner in brass. then laid my top layer up to tghe port and cut it to size . looking good have you completed to ship yet

Hi. There are updates. All gun ports and guns are done. Ohhh… This was a tedious task. I was trying to hang the anchors on. As very often with Mamoli, anchors were out of scale and about quarter too small of a proper size. I ordered proper anchors at Cornwall Boats UK.
