My mom made soms large embroideries of sailing ships.
Mom’s are the biggest fans!

Good morning. Onto fixing the next horror. I carefully removed the Mantua side entrance with Grants painting debacle.

Where were you able to find this entry? Cornwall Models? I would like to get a pair for the cross-section model I'm building. If I can get one, I'll give if a coat of shiny black, let it dry for a couple days and then with some very fine grit sandpaper to clean off the black on the raised detail.

I don’t. Google :” Shapeways HMS Victory “. It takes you to the section in Shapeways.com with all the Victory 3D parts. Just check the scale. Cheers Grant

I found a very nice one on Cornwall Model Boats that I am thinking about purchasing. For what its worth, if you are planning to paint your hull, the waterline on the original was 5'3" below the lowest gun port (ref: A.C. Bugler's book). In 1/96, this is about 16mm.

This being my first build I am not doing anything more to her other than the display cabinet and perhaps giving the hull a coat of Matt poly to reduce the shine below the waterline.
