Kingfisher 1770 1:48 POF

When we last visited with one another I was taking a little break to work on springtime chores and such. And while I'm happy to report that progress has been made on my list - I have also been 'blessed' by a few rain days which allowed me to enjoy some time in the shipyard along the way.

Before I could install the upper deck beams, I needed to complete the build-out of the lower deck. There are several features to fabricate, but it's been a while since I constructed walls/rooms so that's where I turned my attention...

The first job was to fabricate the component parts, beginning with wall and door blanks:

I then completed the doors and began putting the walls together. Several styles of doors:

And some preliminary wall/door panels that will eventually find their home at the front of the ship:

I made a special effort to reduce the size of my door hardware compared to those on the platforms below:

And I then turned my attention to the rooms at the back of the ship:

Thanks for stopping by! We're headed out of town for a wedding - and then back to work on my springtime chores. Hoping to report again in a few weeks...
Good morning Paul. It is always a joy to view your work. I will pray for a few more rainy days for you….;). We need some rain down here, it has been a very dry winter so far which is never good for Cape Town. Cheers Grant

Beautiful Paul as expected

Could you please describe how you got the clean symmetrical nail marks (not trenalls) in the walls
