Hello friends! I fully expected to be showing you the 'finished' shaping and sanding of the recently installed fore and aft square frames as my weekend comes to a close.

Instead, all I have to share is the inside portion of the aft section. This is not for lack of time or effort. Indeed, this very small amount of progress represents about 8 or 9 hours of work. I'm starting to suspect that I'm working harder not smarter.

And now, a puzzle: why in the world would Paul have ordered this for his wooden ship model?

No modeling time this upcoming week and then it's off with the family (extended in-laws) for some walleye fishing and poolside / fireside contemplation of the state of our world. We'll be remembering my father-in-law who passed away recently - this was his favorite vacation (indeed, he paid for EVERY cottage just to make sure as many members of his family as possible could attend).

Meticulous workmanship. Enjoy the family.

Your work is eye popping beautiful, Paul. I can't imagine what the polystyrene items were for, maybe a separate project you had in mind and since moved on from it? Hope you all have a wonderful family get together, tight lines to ya my friend.

Hi Paul,

Very nice and clean work again, hope you didn' t sand up till the most forward frame of the stern section and vice versa. This as you otherwise have no meat left to sand when the mid section is placed and you could get a dent in your hull ( just thinking out loud :-) )

Ps if you start contemplating about the state of the world at the moment, one advise: bring enouch firewood. And then I guess we see you after the summer.

Have a wonderfull weekend.
