La Belle 1/36 - Plan by Jean Boudriot / myself

Hi Knut @Norway ,

thank you. I bought all items here in Germany. For the permagrits its better you use google. There are a lot of dealers, this isn´t the problem.
The digital angle i bought here on Amazon. I´m very satisfied with the qualitiy.

Once more thanks for the tipp - today I got a parcel from amazon with this digital angle - it is looking worth for the relatively small money! Thanks Thumbs-Up

I have now to complete the stern. The interaction between the last frames, the deadwood and the transom is tricky. There are a lot of joint that will mesh together in various different angles. But with calm and one cold german beer it´s possible to get a good result. Here is the first dry assembly to check the geometries. I will shape the pieces a little bit in form. The finetunnig from the hull is the last step when all parts are fixed with PVA.

@Uwek. Absolutly right !
The little Proxxon is on the limit. My luck is that the parts in 1/36 are so small.
But for further projects, no way. That why i planning my new one. I think i will coninue with both. The little proxxon with 90 Degree,
and the new one for flexible works.

The Record Power is looking really good, especially when I compare it with mine (the big Proxxon TSG 250) it is a very good alternative for the same new price.
And you get 5 times more weight....... Would be great, if you could make a review of this machine once you have it. Many Thanks for the hint.

First paintings on my La Belle on the sternpost and the stem. I follow here the model from Bernard Frölich. I like his color interpretation from the La Belle and i will follow him. After that work i´ve mounted the stern. The surface on the outside isn´t ready yet. I will shape it when the hull is completly mounted. The Keel is now ready to start the assembly with the frames.

@Jimsky

Thank you, Jim. I use this black stain or mordant. Sorry i don´t know the english term. I think you know what i mean: The tape is from Tamiya.
It´s very liquid an need to run under the tape. You have to pay a lot of attention, especial on the rabbet. I used a toothpick for the colorparting on the rabbet.
But a small accident you can resolve always with an sharp blade, a skalpell or anything like this.
