@Peglegreg : the two hours? I had two times to re-open already glued connections, especialy one of the keel elements. Thanks god, that I am using wood glue on water basis, so with some water and patience, I could repair or correct a wrong glueing......and surprisingly my ship´s keel was 1,5mm too long, still do not know why, so I had to thicken the width of frame #1 by this thickness......you can see this element between the hawse pieces and frame 1........these were the two hours........no realy I do not joke: It makes extremely fun to build this model
@ADC - many thanks for the hint with this discolouring of the timber.....until now it is still ok - Unfortunately I am a fan of very late "oiling" so I hope not to get real problems
@neptune - It is good, that I am here in Vienna and your Admiral down under - most problems you will get -> but after you finished this model your wife will be happy too

The kit of the La Salamandre from CAF in scale 1:48 is devided into (mainly) two parts.
Part I is the complete hull structure in POF without planking, this work which I had just finished (Post #1 to #386)
and
Part II with the elements of the interior, planking, decks, fittings, guns and the complete masts and yards with rigging (no sails)
Remark: I bought from Max the complete ship, so including everything. In the web (f.e. ebay etc.) are different sets offered, which seems to include different cotents, which makes is difficult to compare the offers......For everybody who wants to buy this kit, do not forget ask the supplier and insist in a detailed answer, about the content of the kit they are offering. For every part there is one small manual with sketches and one big sheet of drawings (in the size of a wall paper) added to the kit.
Also there are minimum two different timber qualities available, which are produced by the manufacturer CAF. Also clarify before odering what you will get!!!
Starting with Part II
I want to show you the manual on which basis and sequence you have to / should / could work on your model
Here you can see exemplary some pages, all together appr. 50 pages like these
left side: inner planking, cutting the "windows" to see the interior
right side: Construction of the mortar bed
deck beams, some walls mast-foot
wales and outside planking, gun-carriages
and rigging etc.
and off course "THE" drawing
Looking at this wall-paper of information it is obvious, that CAF did not simple copied the drawings from Boudriot, definitely the CAF drawing is draught by themself based on their 3D-model
Nevertheless I am happy, that I have also in addition the planset of the La Salamandre in scale 1:48 published by ancre, which will be additional and partly the most important information.....Some week ago I made a Planset / Book Review and posted it in our area.

Waiting for delivery of some clamps and nails, so I do not want to make too much with the inside planking in moment.
So therefore I need some little projects which I can prepare already.
So yesterday I took the elements of the floor riders (3 in this ship) and glued them together.
It was a reminiscence to the work fro the frames......I made them in the same order and method like I described lengthy for the frames
On the first photo you can see Floor Rider #1 in the top finished and on the lower part the two levels of Floor Rider #2 elements prepared
And here the same for Floor Rider #3
If you look close to the last photo you realize a small nose at the left bottom of the floor timber, marked here with arrows
This is the real first time, that there is an error in the laser cutting - looks like, that the laser had a short HICCUP
The final sanding of these elements will be later on, when the insideplanking is finished and the Riders will be installed at the correct place adjusted to the Insitu satus of the hull

Joke - I still do not know!
In the next days I try to mark the levels inside and outside the hull, means beams, gunports, the size and levels of the "windows" etc. - afterwards I think I can think about and decide where and how complete I will plank inside...... In moment I have no idea and also no preference (based on other logs)
Yesterday the glue was hardend, so I could pre-sand the floor riders on the up-side and made the first dry fit inside the hull on top of the keel; to see how it is looking like and how the bottom side fits to the form of the frames..... final sanding than, when the inside planking is finished in place.
Small glitch in the laser cutting but for a talent like yours...minor! At least you are looking at a bit of extra wood instead of looking for missing wood 
A small progress with my inside planking ...... not so easy, but with patience it is working....
Looking great. I am finding them a little difficult too. I found the next 8-10 planks are harder then afterwards become slightly easier. Maintaining the right curve and tapering needs to be managed carefully. There were a couple of areas I was not satisfied with my work but luckily it will be hidden after sanding and instalation of interior fittings. With you superior quality work I think you avoid any surprises.

Thanks for your kind words. Unfortunately, due to my normal job and a small daughter with 5 years, she wants to play with daddy in the evenings, I have only possibility of 1 to 2 hours during evening or night, when the family is sleeping.....so usually nightwork......
The quality of this kit comes through more and more. Beautiful work as always!
