Thst is the same result I got with my Royal Caroline. It was completely done by Max and no way it are pure copies. In light of recent events I want to highlight once more the design of this kit of the La Salamandre from CAF.

Jean Boudriot prepared a detailed 2D-planset in scale 1:48 based on a contemporary 1:48 model, which is in exhibition in the Musee de la Marine in Paris.
This basis model is also shown in the monographie paublished from ancre.
The monographie / the measures of contemporary model was basis for Boudriot / the Boudriot frame drawings

See my planset review on SOS:
CAF prepared an own 3D-model of the complete model and based on this model they printed their 2-D drawings and prepared the laser cut timber.

Part I of this kit contents the framing and hull construction.
in my post #46 I mentioned already, that the frames of the kit are slightly different than shown in the ancre drawings

Part II of the kit, which I started some weeks ago contents the inside structure as well as the deck-furniture and mast, yards etc.
Also here CAF designed completely their own drawings.
This info I showed also already in my post #387 of this building log, together with an excerpt of the kit drawings

I compared once more the drawings and manuals of the kit with the ancre drawings - not one skecth or drawing of the Boudriot drawings was simply copied,
all the kit drawings seems to be based on the 3D model of CAF.
Many thanks for the info. Interesting, that the link to my log - but this was from the beginning my intention, to make the log very detailed, so ther modelers can learn from my positive and negative experiences.....Hi Uwe,
Your build log is going viral. I was checking 4h model and to my suprise the guy behind CAF models is posting your salamandre blog on 4h model as help to the chinese to build the model. Step by step the blog is translated to Chinese and the pages copied. I thick you have grown to a ship moddeling professor by now as CAF is using your build log as an example.
Secondly it is good advertisement for Sos, I think the site is really growing at the moment.
Just to let you know, see the link below. Hope it works this time.
