Instead, I bought the Solail Royal sails from Mantua that I think are much nicer (same scale).

Not yet I am currently in our home in Florida my Le Soleil is in our home in the Philippines!! will be traveling back to the Philippines in Oct for a few Months and i will finish the ship than I have the running rigging to complete should take a month I think!

It took me two months with the sails.
 
well, I am back in the Philippines and spent a few days figuring out where I left off on the Le soleil I decided to work on the mast rigging in stages Lower Middle and high I am ready to start the ratlines on second stage, all those knots!!! than do all required standing and some of the running rigging so I do not rig myself into a corner!! I have got till January 2025 to complete as much as I can we will see?

well still in the middle of the rigging, the 2 of 3 levels of rat lines are complete, most of the standing rigging is done I am trying to do things in levels this time making sure i do not rig myself into a corner!! Rigging is a daunting process can be over whelming at times as many stages of model ship building can be repetitious or as in rigging and planking tedious. Of all the information / help I have ever received or read on this site that a member made
the one I follow and changed how I look at certain tasks
Look AT THE TASK THAT IS IN FROUNT OF YOU (1 RIGGING LINE AT A TIME / ONE PLANK AT A TIME / ONE CANNON AT A TIME WHAT EVER) and that is exactly what I do now and for those of you that suffer from what I used to suffer from believe me it works!!!Thumbsup
 
The rigging on this ship is by far the most complicated that I have encountered very time-consuming need to really think thru everything very carefully. but it is going to look great when it's done!!!! Hopefully by Wednesday I will start rigging and installation of the first 2 levels of yards. this will also be very intense as it also seems complicated. I still haven't decided whether I am going to install the sails. I have been thinking about tying them down as when not in use I don't know the word for it. Have been having a problem finding any info on how to do this. But I like that look!!

I believe the right word for "tying them down as when not in use" is furled.
