Le Coureur 1776, model 1:48 by Adi

What a great feeling to have completed the bulwarks and gun ports. So I suppose next up, those empty gun ports will have to be filled up with some hardware! :D

Thank you for the likes and the comment. This week the top timber and the catheads were on the to do list. Since the entire length of the top timber could no longer be installed, they were shortened accordingly and adapted to the existing conditions. The Boudriot plan was the inspiration for this. The recess on the port bow side is covered because the bowsprit will later find its place here.

Next up were the catheads. Here, too, I followed Boudriot's plan as far as possible. Some rework was necessary to insert rope pulley into the brackets. It worked, but they don't rotate properly, but I don't think that's necessary.

One week is over. Dear friends, thanks you all for your likes and comments. Since I'm following Uwe's footsteps, It's that the design of the stern is the next step. It was clear to me that only the straight and not the curved rear planking was an option. I made a template out of cardboard to get the exact outline.

The existing stern section of CAF is used as a pattern and all the wonderful CAF decorations should be taken over unchanged as far as possible. That is, the transom decorations must be placed on the outside of the planking.

The preparotion of the window frames for the false windows turned out to be very tricky.
