Le Coureur 1776, model 1:48 by Adi

Thanks for all the likes and comments.
Since I have decided to use the Boudriot solution for the gun rigging, the combined hook and ring design is now to be produced after the bolts and washers.
What can be done well in a larger scale, e.g. 1:30, brings problems in 1:48. The smaller the more difficult.

I should make a few attempts.

First with CAF delivered brass hook and brass tubes.

This combination did not prove to be stable enough.

After thinking about it for a while, I came up with the idea of alienating Syren Ship Model's black rigging hooks a bit.

That seems to be working.

Looks fantastic Adi

Very good work, Adi. i have said it before, and I will say it again. You manage to create a patina in your build which is so authentic looking. I really have the sense that I am looking at a real ship in miniature. It has a natural and well-worn or used look to it that I really find fascinating. Well done!
