Very nice wooden frame and yes it was worth it. Good work
Looking very good Crypton nice workI had quite some hours this week to work on the deck. I tried to follow the example of Kidsgalore's build a bit, since the manual is not showing any clear picture of the open deck. The nails and planck lines are done with a marker with a 0.3 mm tip. I'll leave the deck unstained and unvarnished.

Good afternoon. This is an amazing kit and you are owning this. Beautiful. Cheers GrantContinuation of the lifeboat: the kit is really nicely engineered to be put together. I'll let the pictures tell the story.

StunningI have finished the lifeboat (for now). Later I'll add the oars and the mast. I'm pleased with the results. Now I'll get back to continue with the main ship before it starts collecting dust.

Good morning. Beautiful. I agree with you to have one side planked and the other not. Makes for an effective model and you do want to see all the beautiful frames and details etc. Cheers GrantThis week I have been working on the rear cabin including 2 functional doors. I decided to layer only one side of the cabin walls. The 'manual' shows optionally a fully layered or non at all. For me it seems more logic to have one side of the ship fully finished and the other see through.
Anyhow, next week I hope to have finished the endless amount (=48) of bulwark columns.

Good morning. Brilliant! I absolutely love the wood contrast. Wonderfully modelled. Cheers GrantFinally, I finished the bulwark columns. The 'manual' suggested to use a rope to align them. However, I needed to used a 1.5 mm thick wooden strip to create a proper curvature, while fitting and aligning the bulwark columns. I didn't use the right equidistant separation of the bulwark columns so I will need to adjust the length of the gundeck beams later. Anyway, so far it has been a very nice and challenging building experience.

Good morning. Beautiful work. This is going to be a very impressive Le Requin. Kudos. Cheers GrantThis week, I installed the canon deck beams. The side that will remain open has nails the other will be covered by the deck.
