Great job on the planking those stealers worked a treat.
Thanks, Tony. First coat of polyurethane is on the port side. Waiting for putty to dry on the starboard side.
Oops, I found a couple of places I missed with the putty. I’ll sand lightly, fill with red oak putty, sand again, wait 24 hours, and poly again. I love the look, though.
Later, I’ll apply second coat of polyurethane.

Finishing up the stern. I must say, the miter box and razor saw made some pretty good cuts. The only angle I needed was 45 degrees. I guess geometry class finally came in handy.

The Admiral says it’s time to clean up the shipyard.
I think these Admirals have a secret pact- I got those instructions on Sunday...
Cutting out the windows caused a lot of wood to fall inside the ship. I guess she’s now a transport ship hauling lumber.

I hear you. Same for me. It gets even worst during the sanding phases. The admiral hates it, even though I do all this in the garage.
Well, then, try cleaning off your shoes and brushing off the sawdust before you come traipsing into the living room! Just speaking from experience after turning big blocks of wood on my lathe.
Well, I put on the gallery, but it doesn’t quite fit. I’m starting to think I’ll have to do some cutting to make the ornament fit under the gallery. @debauchery , @Gilbertm, @paulb, @Mr.Deep? Any thoughts?

I indeed had quite a struggle to install the balcony
I had to shorten the vertical parts and do a lot of adjustments to make it fit nicely.
