It reminds of pictures of Noah‘s ark—with guns.That last picture of yours show the rectangular hull shape very well - something that was also typical of the Dutch men-o-war of the 17th century. She is shaping up beautifully Vic!
If you want the weathered look, use these as-is. If you want all the parts to be black, dip them in paint/water one more time. And if you do choose to bob for them with your teeth instead of using pliers, take pictures of the event for the rest of us.The deadeyes are supposed to be black, but I wanted them to still look wooden, so I soaked them in an acrylic/water mixture and set them out to dry on a paper towel.
