Yes I did. And I think I may trim the deck a little there, too.

I’ve glued 25 support boxes for the lower guns. Only 50 more to go!

Then I drill holes from the front side inside the marked areas. Finally, I place the tips of wire into super glue and place them in the pre-drilled holes. I’ll cut them off later.

Adding pins is a good idea. You don't want those boxes falling off on you when the ship is all planked.

That's about the only thing you can do.

Glued the gun support boxes and put them to bed with the guns for a while. Might as well have them get used to each other. They’ll be together for a long time.

I just wanted to advise you to expand the hole under the bowsprit.Then sheathe the bulkhead with slats anyway.I also cut the bulkhead at the bottom to get a curved shape.

When you go to place the lower wales, I took measurements and followed the 1/1plans. IN my mind, toward the stern, they should be lower. they have them angling up.
that is just my preference. Unless I measured wrong.

Hi Vic. If those supporting boxes are anything like those on the Haarlem, that is one aspect you need not worry about!

Except when I read how two people lost one and it dropped inside after sealing off the hull. That makes me a little nervous. I think I want to go on the safe side. Thanks for your input, Heinrich. It makes me feel a little better. I had a difficult time with gun carriages coming loose and not being able reach them easily on my Pearl.
