Let’s get started BLUENOSE #3

Hi Terry. Your planking is looking really good! Thumbsup It looks as if everything is aligned very well and symmetrical. I have sent you last picture to YQ and you got their thumbs up too!

A suggestion for future kits.
I do not like all the char on the planking.
Maybe a different source of wood for planking. Sanding the char is hard trying to keep the planks with straight edges.
My opinion only :)

I am not that far yet, but I thought they included strips of wood for hull planking? Or are you talking about the precut pieces with the drain slots in them? If so, you can file them with a fine file and you won’t remove the straight edge. I am using a file to clean up all of the deck beams and it works great, it actually polished them and no sand paper is needed.

I have a good friend who works in the ship yard at the Atlantic Fisheries Museum in Lunenburg ,N.S where Blue Nose II is home ported she takes pictures of it all the time here are a few for you i have a bunch of pics. She knows all the crew and capt. enjoy.20200727_095851.jpgCS and TEC 073.jpg20200727_095851.jpgCS and TEC 073.jpgIMG_20150820_092752.jpgIMG_20150820_104410.jpgIMG_20150820_113742.jpg
