So..... I found this drawing and determined that I needed more holes.... had to make a thicker rim...added the ribs and went to town with the drill.

Finished the main mast top.... now on to the mizzen mast.
The measurement that I used for the bowsprit was 5/8" short so I added it on. Also decided to rebuild the slat gratings and seats of ease....
Finished remaking the slats and seats of ease, the first 3 pictures are from last March..... now back to the mizzen mast top....

First attempt at a line serve.

Yes.... it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be once I settled on 5 wraps, tighten... and continue.
That being said, it's time to buy a machine.....
I built the bobstay.
I ended up making a heart for it. Lesson learned; when serving a line....make it tight and use glue sparingly.

Sometimes it is the simple things...
When I had to take a break, I would put a small dot of glue. Not a good idea....

Made the bowsprit shrouds and 2 open hearts. Probably should have made a little more space between the shrouds...any recommendations?
The distance must be chosen so that the blocks are on the sides of the bowsprit. And now they are a little higher.
I was afraid of that... thank you for the advise, I'll fix them tonight.

I finished the 2 open hearts for the bowsprit. Still learning about serving a line. It appears from today's effort the line being used to wrap, has to be thinner than the line being wrapped....
Bowsprit yard..... good or needs adjusting?
