Model VICTORY by Deagostini, scale 1/84

Hi, Alexander, could you please describe the method you do your eye splices? I am interested in whole process including rope serving.

Good afternoon. I'll try to explain. I learned this method from Dmitry Shevelev. First, the rope must be completely braided. Make a loop and cut the rope at an angle with a sharp knife. Apply the cut to the main rope and glue it with a drop of CA. Then cover the gluing area again.20231201_090817.jpg

By the way it is absolutely amazing build. Yesterday I found it progressed greatly since 2021 (I was watching it since the beginning but SoS never sent me a single notification) and spent hours looking through the build with my jaw dropped. Thanks for sharing your techniques with many detailed pictures.

Hi, Alexander, can you help me to understand how you did these rings on the milling machine? I am sure you had to rotate the dark wood piece around its axis. How did you pin it down?

In the pear base, on which the black blank lies, I drilled a 2mm hole, inserted a brass rod into it, also 2mm in diameter, which sticks out a little. There is a 2 mm hole in the black hornbeam blank, which is put on the rod. You can rotate the workpiece with your fingers or the tip of a modeling knife like I did. This is an alternative version of the dividing head

I am answering you. Sasha may do it later. I am attaching a file about block, riggen where your question should be. I always did my seizing manually and sometimes splicing too. I have about 50 GB of information.
The first 3 are real blocs.

Friends, hello everyone! Thanks for the comments and likes. It's nice that covering the process of building a model is useful to someone. Finished stringing the linings on the foremast.
