Amati
I bought 10 packs XDAmati
It looks very good! The only flaw that I notice is that there seems to be a crease running above and below the upper gun deck. Is that per design?Good morning gents.
After two weeks of vacation and few days of working,i finally finished the the hull.
Now the ship ready for the painting and afterwards the coppering.
while placing the keel, post stern and stem i encountered small location proble.
the post stern has is exact location.

the steam was little bit tricker.
With the instruction illustration showing this diagram for placing the stem.

I used this illustration to set the position of the stem using the vertical prolongation and the knighthead more accurately.

So till the next problem or issue
Live long and prosper
I don't know how much it will prevent it, one part clear varnish will slow the process ,but maybe some 2 parts varnish will prevent it completely. If fact, I am starting to think should I clear coat the copper? Would that prevent or disturb the natural patina process? Do I want to prevent the patina process? Hmmm.....I have many questions on the subject...but I know now that I really like the look of the coppering and I plan to do more of my ships in the future.
Yes, that's it. It also stretches aft almost to the stern. Thanks for your response!

Thank for the advice.Make first rudder from copper plates, because later there will be a very big difference in color. Don't make my mistake.
Good morning Guy. Way to go- very good job with those plates. Half way thereHello all,
First side is finished excluding the keel, took about 3 weeks to complete .
it's time to do the other side, hopefully it will take me much faster now.

Hi GrantGood morning Guy. Way to go- very good job with those plates. Half way there. I really like the painting as well, good colours and the "hard" matt finish is very realistic. Cheers Grant
Looks very nice in the metal!
What are you using to stick the plates on?
