My 1/72 scale aircraft

By the size of the prop, it looks to be 1:72.

I have built a Fokker D.VII, but I do have another one, and I have built an Albatros D.Va and a Junkers D1, however…
I am currently building a Pfalz D.IIIa.
Congrats! And yes they are all 1/72 scale! ;)

The doors, a lot of detail for such tiny pieces…but that’s one thing I am impressed with about this kit, excellent detail!

A good looking aircraft, Dean. And the tiny decals gives a great plus to the model.

Quick update…rigging has started. Once finished, I will do final touch up.

And then, after looking at the Bristol Bulldog, I thought it needed some yellow on the upper wing. Then I added the radiator pipe on the Pfalz.
And so I did a quick photo shoot with both airplanes afterwards…

I have started the Vultee BT-13 Valiant. The kit is crude, but I think I can make something nice out of it.

The cockpit area has a plain floor, 2 seats and 2 control sticks…

I added some foot boards or plates to put a little more detail in. The control panels will get rudder pedals added to them later. However the side walls are empty…sigh!

I added some knobs and details to help them out some.
Next will be the motor, propeller and cowling.

Well…after deciding the Bristol Bulldog needed some yellow on the upper wing, I didn’t like that there was not enough contrast between the yellow and silver. Going down the rabbit hole…sigh! ;)
So…I decided to add a few black lines around the edges. But, after adding the top edge, I realized leaving it off the bottom gave the illusion that it was faded on the bottom.
I liked the look so much that I added a black line on top of the yellow on the sides of the fuselage. ROTF
Oh well, I think she looks better for it! I really like this airplane!

BT-13 Valiant update…
Motor and propeller assembly…

First the engine needed a hole drilled in it for the prop shaft. Note the prop shaft is way too big…sigh! In addition the blades have to be glued on the and orientation is on you…pay attention here! ;)

I cut off the prop shaft and drilled the same size hole as the motor and made my own shaft. Then it was time to glue on the blades…

Motor painted, prop blades glued on…and I added four dots of glue for the bolt heads on the prop blade holder or nose assembly.

Now the motor assembly is ready to go on later. Note the prop shaft is not glued in the motor yet for assembly reasons. ;)
