MY BLUENOSE- YUANQING SCALE 1:72 SCALE [COMPLETED BUILD]

You are 100% correct Johan. That is what happens when one reads something at twenty to four in the morning! :)
Hello Heinrich and Johan, Henrich I can well understand your concerns with cutting off the points, that would really make a mess. I do thank you for concerns in trying to ward off a disaster.
Yes, Johan has it correct, I meant only to mark that point on the frames and not cut them off. I believe it is my very poor explanations that trough you off Heinrich, for this I am very sorry. I do appreciate all of your comments and your help, but at 4 AM I can understand your little mistake, Thanks.
Regards Lawrence :)

Hello Ship Mates, Well I finally got the little fellows to clean up the char on the first 1 to 8 frames. We also tapered these frames and dry fitted them to the YQ-Bluenose keel. My Admiral was also good to me as she gave me another set of files they are 1/2 diamond grit, and 1/2 steel. Much smaller than the first set making the huge task ahead of us just a little bit easier.

Just another 47 frames to go!
Nice set of files...

Super-neat work removing all that char Lawrence, and your first 8 frames sit beautifully on the keel - right up to the rabbet line - just as it should be! Well done my friend! Thumbsup
Hello Heinrich, I thank you for your very nice words and comments. Golly these frames at 1:72 versus those of my Oliver Cromwell at 1:48 sure are very delicate in comparison. One hast to be very careful with them ,the wood is excellent and nice to work with, but I am not a great fan of the char, I suppose that is due to scratch builds that I have been building for the last 6 or so years, this char takes away from some of the joys of building the YQ- Bluenose, but the results are great.
Regards Lawrence

Hi Lawrence. Those frames looks very nice and fit well on the keel. The files-set are a great gift. Gold Star

Hello Peter, I thank you for your very nice words. Yes my Admiral Bernadette was very good to me and these little files will be a great help in removing some of the char, making the task a whole lot easier.
Regards Lawrence

Hello Ship Mates, Well I finally got the little fellows to move about just a bit fasted these last few days. We have completed building and flaring frames #09 to #16

These we have dry fitted to the ships keel. We have glued up frame # 17 and cut out frame # 18, golly but we sure do have a long way to go.

Hi Lawrence. Looking good and she likes is still growing!
Steady pace.
Regards, Peter
Hello Peter, Yes for sure she is starting to show some of her great lines. Still have a long way to go with building frames. Starting to feel more comfortable with these tiny frames compared with my Oliver Cromwell build that was 1:48 scale.
