It’s always a nice job, planking the hull. And you are doing great, Lawrence.Hello Ship Mates, Just a little update to let you all know that the little fellows and I are still very much busy in the planking the hull of our YQ-Bluenose. The small ship scale of 1:72 dose make this task just a bit finicky but it looks like the harder part is behind us now. We are still finding time to work a bit in our Old Ship Yard.
Regards Lawrence
PS - The hull planking has not yet been sanded!

Hello Peter, I thank you very much for your very kind words. With these little planks and all of the ships curves it sure eats up a lot of time, but it is coming along. It’s always a nice job, planking the hull. And you are doing great, Lawrence.
Regards, Peter

Hello Heinrich, I thank you very much for your very kind words and overly nice comments. Thanks for your New Years wishes and Bernadette and I return these wishes for you and Anna. We do hope that she is recovered from her bout with that Corvid Bug thing. The little fellows and I should be able to start sanding in a day or so.Excellent work, my dear friend. You and the little fellows have lost none of your touch. Also, from my side, a very happy New Year to you and Bernadette.
Hello Paul, I thank you for your very kind words. These planks are rather small and quite thin making them just a bit difficult with my old big fingers but it looks like we did a pass. That's some pretty fine planking! Well done, Lawrence!
I doubt if my (somewhat) younger fingers could have done as well. Even with my limited experience I know that hull will sand into something beautiful. Again, SO well done!Hello Paul, I thank you for your very kind words. Hello Paul, You over rated me with your very kind words.I doubt if my (somewhat) younger fingers could have done as well. Even with my limited experience I know that hull will sand into something beautiful. Again, SO well done!
Very nice planking, hope I can do as well if I ever reach that stage.Hello Ship Mates, Yesterday the little fellows and I completed the planking on the port side of the hull, we also cleaned up the transom a bit but it dose need a little more work yet. Now it looks like we can begin the sanding and cleaning up the hull planks before we can begin a new adventure.
Regards Lawrence

Hello Alf, I thank you for your visit to my build log, also for your very kind words. I am sure it will be, maybe even better, just take your time and it will be.Very nice planking, hope I can do as well if I ever reach that stage.
Hello Peter, Thanks for your very kind words they are very much appreciated. I did think think of adding a couple of stealers but chose not as I like the curved hull planks even if they are just a we bit harder to install.A very nice job, Lawrence. And as far as I can see, no inserts/stealers!
Regards, Peter
