Nikitin San Bartolome 1584 A.D. (Kit #35)

Argh, the Happy Bumbler strikes again.

I was filing in, sanding , filling in and sanding when I managed to break the top off one of the Banisters.

I used the "Hot Water" trick and to get the Banister out.

Setting up the Dremel was the next step. The project was to drill a .6mm hole in the broken top and the base of the Banister, add a small nail with its head cut off and glue the pieces back together.

The outcome while not perfect, passes the "four foot rule".

Good morning Jan. Nice fix. We all share your pain and that little cracking sound is a modeller’s nightmare. Merry Christmas to you and your family. Cheers Grant

Yup, that little cracking sound is a great description of my modeling expertise.

It looks like we will have a white Christmas after all. A very fine light snow fall is in progress, just enough to cover the bare ground. The forecast is for a dusting to half an inch.

Wishing you and yours a very Merry Christmas.

Have you opened that big box????
