October, 21st - The Main Event

It is noon Central Daylight Time in USA, which means it should be after 6 or 7 in Spain, so how late on the 21st are they releasing the new kit, or the day in title is wrong.

Nice twist,But at price of 1300$ caldercraft/Jotika is still the unbeatable model kit in the market.

Well, looking at the presentation, I wouldn't be so sure... ;) Here you have open interiors, which adds a lot to the model. Putting all of this in Caldercraft model would push it price higher, obviously.

Other super rare collector's editions have found their buyers, this one will find them too. Little disapointment for me, after great Soleil Royal and Santinisima Trinidad I was hoping for a 1765 Victory or at least renovated San Juan Nepomuceno. On the other hand, if they make a cheaper version without open hull it could be an interesting option. Carvings do look nice

Good night gentlemen,
Now that you all know what our new model is, we feel we have nothing to hide.
Many factors are taken into consideration when we discuss a new model for our catalog. As you can imagine, having a model of HMS Victory is almost a must for any company. We had it in the past, we wanted to have it again.
We decided we needed to have HMS Victory in our catalog - but we also decided that it would be a very special one. We didn't want to make a Victory model. We wanted to make THE Victory model. Sure, there are many models to be explored and made. We feel the job we have done had to be done on HMS Victory.
The presentation spot is very nice and interesting, with that plot twist wannabe
^_^
but the video you really need to see of this new model... will be public tomorrow.
Stay tuned!

There's nothing like congratulating to yourself on what you consider to be a successful model. ROTF
And now it's time to go back to build Santa Ana, Trafalgar won't win itself.

Maybe once in a lifetime one of the manufactures will do research needed and make a kit with original balconies on the transom. I get tired of all of them make same period look, for a ship that served the King for decades.
WELL said Kurt.

Well, sorry to disagree with somes. I check the video on AL web site. It is a stunning concept. I like it more than the OCCRE offer. But, I do not know if the quality of the ply and ropes and blocks will be on pair with Jotika/Caldercraft. On my Belem, the ply is too delicate and prone to brake. The blocks are really basics. The rope are in the mid range and respect the diameter showed when purchased.

If I can cumulate enough money in 2025, It will really tempted me to buy it.

Another Victory yes, but this one is different from the rest. Artesania Latina already had this ship in its catalog and wants to continue having it, why not. It seems to me to be a much more interesting model than OcCre's. It would be nice to have the option without rigging, which focused only on the anatomy, as they already did with the Bounty. The price would be lower I guess. The display case would be much smaller, something to take into account.
