hello dear friends
First of all I would like to thank you all for your words of encouragement and support during my doubts.
And also for the understanding that in the creative process we also need to let the heart from which we derive passion for the hobby also have an impact.
I would like to update that I decided to make a correlation between the two sides and I decided in favor of historical accuracy, therefore the other side will also have the frame of the window in pear wood, with the exception of the lower wall.
After much thought, I decided not to remove all the planking boards, but to approach the challenge from a different angle.
I removed the boxwood frame at a depth of about a millimeter and a half (the thickness of the planking boards) when in the upper frame I also removed the pear board. Then I placed a new pear board in the upper part of the window and on the sides I glued beams to match the depth of the channel. In order to bring precision and beauty, I engraved/carved the connection lines between the planking boards into the new pieces, sanded everything at the different levels and finally re-applied linseed oil.
I'm not sure if I completely like the result (so I need to get used to the change), but I live with it in peace.

Attached photos so that you too can be impressed

Whether or not the experienced builder will notice or not, it's your own opinion which counts, well yours and of course the Admiral's, but once you've seen it, you can't unsee, meaning whenever you look at your model, your eye will be drawn to the hotspots. I'll leave the final conclusions to you, my friend.
my dear friend Johan
thank you very much for your kind words and support

The port side looks tighter., Shota. And the accentuated ports give a nice accent. But the choice of the captain is the most important. And historically correct ......... many posts have been dedicated to that.;)
Regards, Peter
Dear Peter
You formulated the dilemma with great precision with a good pinch of humo:D, thank you very much for the support dear friend

I fell a little behind on your log Shota but I see wonderful progress and excellent personal choices. I really like those wood colours too.
Dear Roger
thank you very much for your kind words and compliments, I'm doing my best

Hello Shota,
I'm sorry for putting you in this situation. Without causing too much damage, if I were you I would rework the side that is historically the correct one and make your version. Here you would only have to file the sides and the upper frames and insert the frames without removing the planks. Even if it's not correct, it looks better somehow.
My dear friend Tobias,
you did not put me in any trouble, you just helping me and assist in the construction process and thereby improve my abilities, for which I thank you!!!
Hope your home renovation is finished and you're back to the hobby
Regards, to your brother-in-law and your sister and to your wife, whom I had the privilege of meeting at the conference

Hello Shota, my friend, greetings back.

The renovation will probably take a few weeks/months, the bathroom will have to be completely gutted and rebuilt, two walls will have to be demolished, all the electrics will have to be redone, ceilings will have to be suspended. The kitchen will have to be built, some of the floors will have to be replaced and tiles will have to be laid, everything will have to be replastered and painted. In the last few weeks I have mostly cleared out everything (furniture). At the moment I am in the process of redesigning my workshop where I build the ships. A new table has been built with drawers for all types of wood, I will keep you updated. There is still a lot to do.

Good morning dear friends
After deep deliberation, this is what I decided :D

I believe that the result will be much improved than the solution I applied yesterday and I will be satisfied with it

This is a bold decision Shota - and I believe it is the best one. There was no way you could hide the patched in repairs and they would draw your eye every time you looked at your model. My compliments!

You are absolutely right with this decision, Shota.

And I agree fully with Paul.
Better now this big re-do then keep on looking with furrowed eyebrows with 'I wish I had......'
