"Santa Maria" 1492 a.d. Kit from "Ships by Pavel Nikitin"

Thank you for your kind words, it is very much appreciated !
On the 15th of November the first video on building a Winchelsea Nafe will be released on my YouTube channel. Of all the projects I have done together with my friend and co-author Eugene Troppmann, this one is the most difficult and the most interesting :)
Are you saying this will be the next kit you will release?

The Pavel Santa Maria kit arrived three weeks ago. I have very much enjoyed building it, so far. The videos posted by Vance and Joe on YouTube have been very helpful (I love their candor, cheerfulness, and problem solving), and it would be difficult to find a better "build log" than what Pavel has provided--seen here and on his site. Such a marvelously conceived and accessible model!

Mine comes in a couple of weeks hopefully. Been delayed In production.
Delays are due to the fact that the supply of partners from different cities is very difficult due to the war situation. Everything is solved, but often you just have to wait longer than planned.....

A new series on the construction of ‘Santa Maria’. Possibly somewhat tedious). But I want to show exactly those subtleties that affect the final result. As for me the most important is the exact geometry of the hull before installing the planking, largely due to deficiencies at this stage and there were problems with some modellers who have already built this ship.

"Santa Maria". 1-48
The power frame is ready for decking and deck installation. The ship's contours are carefully sanded, the surface for the deck is also carefully sanded. Possible problems that arise in some modellers appear precisely because the stage of grinding surfaces is not implemented carefully enough...In a week, in the next video, I will show how to grind the surfaces of the hull of the ship, and how to control the result of the work....

Beautiful work. Looks fantastic

Am I correct, that at this stage (#8), you have not glued the bow fillers; i.e., during the fairing process they are held in place by the tabs on the subassembly?

Thank you for providing these videos. I do have a copy of your kit and very much look forward to building it.
