Would it be easier to leave the backstays until after the running Rigging? Access to the deck level would be easier for the belaying racks, and they are on the outside so easy to get at themselves.

The main mast ones are really a problem... probably sould have done it the other way arround

I must admit that the sails don't work for me compared to the rest of your work on the ship - the weathered colour looks good but the seams look out of scale (too large) and the sails too small. Maybe they look better if you're there. Sorry, this is meant in a constructive way.

The weathering on the anchors is spectacular, really nice how the rust of the anchor stock hoops is working into the wood of the anchor stock itself. Weathering is a specialty that just a few of us can do and you are doing it to the extreme.

It's kit sails, the seams are always out of scale

But at this point, I want to move on, I was not willing to make sails, so I'll work with what I have

You need a few cannon holes and scorch marks on those sails, to represent a battle weary ship.
