January 1 is New Year's Day, which in Japan is called Oshogatsu.
The greeting at that time is “akemashite,omedetogozozaimasu”.

With grandchildren to deal with, I have not been able to make much progress on the Silent Mary.
But my 2 year and 4 month old grandson is adorable!

I've read that one individual has said the Silent Marry wasn't a real ship. According to what I have read...it was a Spanish Royal ship of the line ; and had quite the history initially under the command of Captain Salazar.
