Good to have you back my friend
and very good, that you have your life back

Wow - stunning NigelSmall but all important progress this weekend.
The double layer of bow reinforcement planking has been added as well as completing Wale installation on this side.
The instructions call for shaping the curved ends of these planks prior to fitting.I installed them over length and then carved the radius areas.
Last picture is what I call the "money shot". Flowing sheer on both Wales and ports, just need to get the starboard side to match
Just one gunport to fit behind the beak bulkhead in the reinforcement

That's what you get for having multiple simultaneous builds... I didn't even notice it myself - I rarely check the title of the log I am readingThanks everyone, just can’t believe I posted in the wrong log
It will probably be the weekend before I can “tidy up” as I have a busy week. Work will also recommence on Imara this weekend. I am mindful I want/need to get that model on the water as the two year boiler certificate is wasting away

I do hope you'll return to the Soleil Royal at some point! Your log so far has been really inspiring, and it would be a shame not to see it continue. To be honest, I will probably just add my post to the correct log and leave this as is.
All part of the story of model building at the end of the day![]()
