Hello All
I am working at butterfly hatch , I decided to make the middle moving so I started with the fixed parts
Now I am ruminate on a mechanism to keep open and close the moving parts
Also I did a paper template for brass base for a removable mast
Will be made from brass sheet in the near future ( depending on my admiral streched thin patience)

Happy new year to you and your family ,health, and many good for your hart models to build and enjoy!
It was a good Chrismas , with my son and his fiancee in visit .
And because I had some days to build I just went a little crazy and finished a lot of things.
Now I have to make the little details and give a resin coat to the suprastructure for waterproofing
After will have to balance the boat after all the bling is installed .
And in this spring will get to pond to make waves!

She is sitting very well for the stage of construction that you are in. If it has its battery in on this photograph I would not recommend adding any other ballast at this point until all fittings have been installed. When the vessel is completed ,and she still requires more ballast, consider adding another battery in parallel circuit to give longer run times instead of adding extra weight in the form of lead.

I have only one battery an 12 V 7 A ups battery in first cabin
I intend to do some light in cabin in paralel of the motor/
the rest of blings are of little weight

Hi Daniel, yes 12 volts will keep her going for long run times even if you light her with the same 12 volt system. Here is a photo of my Baltimore Fire Tug that is powered with a 12 volt system. One gel cell battery powers twin screws, a diesel engine sound module, and two windshield washer pumps for the monitors as well as a bow thruster. You will not have any problems with long run times. It is likely that you will be ready to quit sailing and go home before the boat is ;)

The electronic part in my model will be 4 or 6 led in front cabin 4 or 6 led in aft cabin , the cooler under the chimney .
For the led I need to put some resistors I heard .
How to command from RC receiver is my question.
Never did that

I know you can buy expensive electronic switching modules for different functions on the ship. For most of my RC ships I use servos to operate microswitches which in turn operate various equipment such as on board electric motors for pumps, anchor winches, smoke generators, etc. For your application of operating the lights I would recommend simply manual switches to turn on prior to launching or when sitting on display. Depending on the model and the number of functions I wish to incorporate I use any where from a four to a twelve Chanel transmitter and receiver on 2.4 meg.
 
Of course it should be all your thoughts and decisions, but with such a lovely "old fashioned" boat, I would keep the lighting very subtle and soft. We kind of forget that only a hundred years ago, light bulbs were more orange than white and were of low wattage. And another 50 years earlier there was no electric light, only gas lamps, oil lamps and candles.

My work in office get the most of my time so work on janet is small steps
I did the base for the chimney from plywood and painted white
I put some plastic vents and painted them red on interior and brass on exterior
I put an german soldier at 1/16 scale and look fine in the middle section ( I have to find a sailor /commander for my ship on 1/16 scale )

Hello All!
today I did some small aditions to my model in waiting for a good +15 degrees celsius day to give my model a layer of Z-poxy on the superstructure and decks
After that will build the brass balustrade , put the glass on cabin walls and see the lighting of the model
For today I did the upper part of the chimney in plywood for easier shaping and sanding .
Preparing also the profile of wood to make the transition to cabin upper deck
