The ALFRED 74. [COMPLETED BUILD]

Liked your King Viking figurehead. What was your method for cutting and reattaching the arms? What material did you use for the cape and crown? I'm planning on doing something similar with Celt and 17th Century Scottish warriors for a ship I'll be starting in the New Year. Which Volume of instructions are you now in? That was quite the library of plans I saw at the start of this thread!!!

Hi Bryian--Your build looks great. Please excuse me if I unveil my ignorance in regards to treenailing--I'm one of the new kids on the block. I thought they were much smaller in diameter and a lot shorter in length. Please educate me--I'm presently working on The Great Harry and I want to treenail it properly.

Hi again Bryian--Those canons look great! I envy you--when it comes to building and rigging canons/carriages I fall short because I do not have the dexterity to properly get the job done (I also find it a little monotenous).

Hi Guys,
got some fabulous action taking place for me over at the Weiselworks private ship modelling group, with Mike Shanks making me some custom parts on his hi- tech CNC machine.
We have custom parts for the Alfred stern and a belaying pin racks and ships davits, all carved out of boxwood.

. I am so excited to receive these parts.
