The Frederick from the Lumberyard

Currently working on bulwarks above wales. Lots of sanding, shaping . Also started cutting frames for gun ports . First plank added above wales to help coordinate with this area.

The planks above wales to be 6 boxwood with molding made of walnut. Cap rail on top will be steamed pearwood.

Currently gluing planks above Wales and established sweep ports in process. Have also notched frames at top of gun ports for header behind molding piece.

I’ve added molding at top outside of bulwark. Am now sanding portion of frames down even with said piece.

When that is done I’ll start working on inside adding clamp, beams and planks above.

Hello all,
I’ve attached clamp sized to suit down leg of knee. I’m now studying both the main deck and lower deck layout. I’m cutting out the beams , ledges, carlings , mast partners and bagging them up .
I’m also studying the layout of cabins / rooms below deck and will , for my first effort, add them to this build.

I’ve been fitting beam, carling, ledges, mast partners . The notches have been added as needed. Will be doing final check on connection points then start gluing then fitting to clamp.
