Thanks Doc. Yes it’s lead foil. I’ve had a sheet for 20 yrs used it in my other modeling. I think Historex used to sell it. It came in paper size sheets. No, no solder I just used a touch of CA to attach the copper to the lead. When I do it again depending on my next ship and how the chains are made I’ll just make “iron” chains. The AOTS doesn’t really show the chain detail or at least I didn’t see it.Good work, Tony! I really like the deadeyes! Where did you source the lead…and is it really lead? Did you use any solder after making the square shaped chain plate and inserting the copper?
Beautiful model, but I have to comment, there is ZERO slack in the breaching rope on each gun. There should be enough slack such that the gun can recoil on its carriage until the muzzle is approximately flush with the bulwark. They way it's rigged now would lead to a deadly accident for the gun crew. Also, the breeching ropes are not the same length between the two guns. I think this detail is one you're going to want to fix. Finally finished. Was fun despite small stresses on occasion. Next up Le Rochefort after a short or long break. Thanks to everyone who guided this first time ship builder and first time scratch builder. You guys are a wealth of knowledge.

Yes thanks but they’ll stay the way they are. I don’t want to risk damage to the rings or blocks trying to fix it now.Beautiful model, but I have to comment, there is ZERO slack in the breaching rope on each gun.
