Spot on- true storyI know you won't be making sails, but if you would quote whole line..... He said something about fighting and not giving up hope..
Fore those who don't know
So the Admiral wants you out of the house for a while, eh?Not a lot of progress here because recently I have been tasked with another building project, a backyard gazebo which I'm almost finished with.
Off topic for sure but thought you all might find interesting. The Admiral has assured me that completion of this gazebo will greatly enhance my chances at acquiring any future wooden sailing vessels. Take a look and thank you all for stopping by.

Great work on the sails and gazebo DanielJust a quick and short update for this holiday weekend. Here you see I've attached the bolt rope to the ships forsale and added the bonnet required on these sails. The bonnets being the sails extension I believe. The bolt rope is indeed a tedious application, and I will add the small sections of rope at the reinforced clew connections thus giving the impression of a weaved bump out.

Hello Kurt, after I retired, she said remember it's for better or worse, NOT breakfast and lunch! So the Admiral wants you out of the house for a while, eh?
Hi Paul, Ha! down here we have two seasons, summertime (mostly 90's to low 100's) then July/August (also known as the devil's front porch). So, no outdoor modeling. That's his new modelling shed...
Better than the one we've got: cold and wet...Hi Paul, Ha! down here we have two seasons, summertime (mostly 90's to low 100's) then July/August (also known as the devil's front porch). So, no outdoor modeling.
Hi Peter, thank you for your compliments. I followed Paul's @dockattner's lead on this by spot gluing with CA then going back over all of it with a glue called 'Liquid Stitch' which is surprisingly strong yet flexible. It is designed to glue fabrics and dries clear.Great job with the gazebo Daniel. The Admiral will have nothing but compliments, I am sure. Great job with the sails too!! They are coming along just fine.
What glue did you use on the boltrope attachments?
Your ship is coming along wonderfully. I can't believe the speed that you have raced through your standing rigging - I am sure mine took MUCH longer. It's looking great.
Regards,
PeterG.
Thank you, Mark.Great work on the sails and gazebo Daniel
