Finally, I abandoned that spooler thing. It's too dangerous and quite frankly I don't find it of much use. Thanks Jack, I will give that a go tomorrow,
Best regards John,

Nice looking rope walk Phil,Great reading. I'm trying to learn to make ropes but do no yet know what thread, thread sizes, cotton or poly, or blend? Sizes?

I bought this rope walk and will use a drill to spin.
can you provide a link to that machine you purchased? thanksWell, I put the finger on the purchased button. The chinese rope machine, the same as ZHL but 214 CAD + 85 CAD for shipping from Zj CN Model Co. instead of 333 CAD + 143 CAD shipping from ZHL, on AliExpress. Supposed to receive it Jan 03. Now waiting for duties fees (premium AliExpress shipping).
Thanks for all of you on this thread. I really hesitate before thaking this way of making rope with this machine, but you comfort me to do it.
Michel
I am still assembling mine. I haven't spun any ropes yet, but then again I am retired and not in a hurry.Sure,
Here are the links, first one is the purchased I made, and the second one the three suppliers who supply the machine.
1- Zj CN Model Co.
2- All three suppliers
ZHL is certainly a safe supplier. I really don't know about the others. Zj CN Model had a good evaluation too, so I choosed him.

That's a lot of stuff. What were you going to do with those things, if you don't mind me asking? I didn't need anything else for mine.I am now fully retired since two weeks. Cool thing to do however that will complete the agenda.
I purchased these tow accessories on Amazon to complete the machine ; with care to ease the installation on wood, especially for the switch.
1- One PWM with the following specs in hope that is a good one :
Input Voltage: DC 9-60V
Output Current: 0-20A
Power: 1200W
PWM Frequency: 25 KHz
Adjustable Speed Range: 0-100%
Speed Adjustment Way: Potentiometer
Output Voltage: Linear under load Efficiency: >90%
Size: Approx. 92 x 52 x 36mm / 3.6 x 2.0 x 1.4in
2- Switch SPST : Rocker Toggle Switch LED Illuminated Red, with Waterproof Boot Cap Cover, 20A 12V-24VDC, 3 Pin SPST ON/Off
I am not electronic specialist, so I have to try it with faith.

moi je l'ai laissé tomber. Je ne m'en sers pas. C'est mal fait.It is to resolve the high speed of the bobbin reel at the right side as specified in this thread by Neptune
sure. Why not have a little fun. I should really finish assembling mine. One day.In fact, I think about it as a bew electronic project and it does not matter to add it and try to upgrade securily if it is possible or to use my sewing machine to replace that function.
that would be a fun project.May be can I try to built one if the problem is not resolve with the PWN and the switch. Arduino
project???
